Enso Circles with Morbid Anatomy

Delve into the art of creating ensō circles, a practice that blends mindfulness, creativity, and inspiration. This course is designed to offer a comprehensive understanding of ensō art as a meditative practice. Commonly seen as the iconic image of Zen principles, the ensō—or “Zen circle”—represents the cyclical nature of life and its dynamic flow. Jung considered the circular shape a symbol of the wholeness of the person creating them.

Each session will incorporate lectures, mindful creative exercises, meditative prompts, journaling, and art making. The course is designed to help participants experience the here and now through free calligraphic ensō marking. This workshop is open to everyone, from beginners to experienced artists. No prior experience in meditation or art is necessary. Join me for an exploration of ensō art making, where you’ll discover the beauty of the here and now through this mindful creative ancient practice.
